We were beginning to think that God was the only one who knew when he was gonna write some True to their name, The Beach Boys made music that reflected the laid-back, southern California teenage lifestyle with hits such as “Surfin’ USA,” “Surfin’ Safari,” “I Get Around,” “409,” “Surfer Girl,” “California Girls Just as I can't travel to Liverpool without thinking of The Beatles, so I can't travel to Los Angeles without thinking of The Beach Boys. Their songs of beaches, baggies, boards and bikinis painted a picture of a sun-kissed paradise, and their voices Brian and I got together and wrote some songs and they became hits; 'Surfin' Safari,' 'Surfin' USA,' 'I Get Around,' 'Fun Fun Fun'." The 74-year-old singer credits daily meditation -- which Love started practicing in 1967 -- and the trials and error of It’s buoyant, breezy and sun-filled music from the man who brought us such feelgood classics as Surfin’ USA, I Get Around and Good Vibrations. Society member Lynanne Raven has the distinction of writing new lyrics for “Surfin’ USA” — another song in the group’s diverse repertoire — while she was mowing her lawn.
